The new CRANE 3S, built on a heritage of innovation with a brand new modular design, aims for wider application and intuitive control to adapt to strict and unpredictable filming environments. Bearing filmmakers in mind, ZHIYUN felt the original CRANE 3 LAB, the first generation of gimbal with built-in image transmission, could be even better.

For larger cinema camera combos, users can attach an extension module onto the roll axis for more space, while for smaller DSLR combos, the extension module can be detached for greater portability. This wider compatibility is the goal, with flexibility provided.

The properly 55° tilted roll axis is designed for an unblocked view and allows enough space to mount large cinema camera combos. CRANE 3S is constructed with brand new SUPER motors, allowing for a 14.3lbs payload to support a wide range of camera setups, including the RED Dragon 5K cinema camera with Angenieux F30-90mm - T2 S35, as well as Canon EOS 1D, Sony FS & FX series, and more.

CRANE 3S provides ultimate reliability, with a reinvented locking system that can lock the three axes without noticeable swinging. The modular design is integrated with double locks to ensure the camera is 100% safe on the gimbal during traveling or storage.

To meet the needs of cinematography, larger lens supports are added into the zoom & focus system. The focus wheel is equipped with a white board for marking a focus range, and zooming can be realized synchronously through the SmartSling Handle (Servo zoom/focus controller needs to be purchased separately).

Besides battery insertion, CRANE 3S offers a DC-IN port that supports up to 25.2V input for direct charging, ensuring continuous uptime. ZHIYUN cares for the needs of all filmmakers, providing three control options: from the gimbal, from a smartphone, or from a motion sensor controller.

ViaTouch 2.0 bridges the communication gap between the stabilizer, camera, and monitoring devices via a dedicated phone app, allowing users to intuitively adjust various camera and gimbal parameters (Monitoring devices need to be purchased separately). The TransMount Image Transmission System supports zoom/focus control via phone app or remote controller, and users can customize the sensitivity of zoom/focus control to their own needs.

CRANE 3S offers a versatile solution thanks to its cross-compatibility. The handle mods are easily separated and both provide multiple thread holes of different sizes to mount accessories, allowing greater compatibility with motorized dollies, jibs, cable cams, Easyrig, and more.

With a valid payload of 1.43lbs - 14.3lbs, 12-hour runtime, 4-hour charging time, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4G WiFi, CRANE 3S empowers everyone to be a filmmaker.
